Are you thinking about career change?
AND you want to feel great about what you do without losing everything?
Do you know the 3 fundamentals you need to have in place?
Fundamental #1: setting aside time and space to do this
You need to have a clear time in your day or week or month (longer than that and I’ll think you’re not serious about this) so you can work on yourself and your life. Time AND space. There might be a particular environment that helps you focus, think deeply or be very creative.
Why is this important for success in building a new life?
This is important because changes in your life, especially career change, won’t take place unless you put some thought, effort and attention to it. You can’t just osmose into the life of your dreams.
There is a magic that happens when you set aside time to focus in on your life and what you want.
It is this time and space that helps you
- work it all out
- be fully aware of what you need to do
- be extra creative in putting your ideas together
Here's a tip to help you with setting aside time and space to do this. Find even small block of time that you can use to be your own coach. Standing in line, waiting for the kettle to boil, your daily commute, walking the dog. These are activities that don’t take a lot of brain space and so you have a chance to focus on yourself.
Career change is a big step. Practically it's a series of smaller steps. Emotionally it's huge. So give yourself the gift of time and space to change your life or your career.
