Every year, I start by reading Peter F. Drucker's Managing Oneself. The annual refresher helps reset slipping good habits and reminds me how to be the best contributor I can be. Only as long as most books' chapters, it's a quick read that keeps me thinking for quite awhile.

I read " Leaders Eat Last" in 2019. It still influences my leadership style.

The book that recently shifted my perspective isn’t necessarily a career book. The book title is “The Visual MBA: A Quick Guide to Everything You’ll Learn in Two Years of Business School”. It gave me insights into values, human resources, negotiation techniques and business mindsets. I believe this book provides a conscise overview of the industry’s operation and culture for PhD student like me. Thank you for those recommendations. Much appreciated. Your comment on perfection is powerful. What is perfection, where does it exist? We are each unique and powerful in that uniqueness. That diversity is where new ideas may arise.

If interested in perspective-changing branding and economic empowerment ideas for the global digital environment, explore "Bring Inner Greatness Out: Personal Brand.” The main premise of this book is: We are unique. Therefore, instead of blending and being average, our path to greatness lies in leveraging that inner uniqueness. We do not need to be perfect; we need to perfect our uniqueness. We have free access to a global audience to build our brands and businesses. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08L5Y7DF1 A recent Forbes article on personal branding contains two quotes (39 and 42) from this book:? https://www.forbes.com/sites/goldiechan/2024/01/03/50-empowering-personal-branding-quotes-for-your-journey
