As the elderly population continues to grow, it is becoming increasingly important to create pharmacies coping with their needs. Older adults often have complex health needs and require multiple medications, so it is crucial that pharmacies are able to provide the necessary support and services to ensure that they receive the correct medications at the right time.

Creating pharmacies that take care of the time and keep in mind the needs of the elderly is not only important for their health and wellbeing, but it also makes sense in business terms. By creating a welcoming environment providing the necessary support and services, pharmacies can build strong relationships with elderly patients and ensure that they continue to return.

Here are some tips for creating a pharmacy environment that is welcoming and easy to navigate for “golden age patients”:

  1. Simplify displays: Create a planogram that is easy to navigate and understand, with clear signage and labels. Use large, easy-to-read fonts and ensure that medication categories are clearly defined.
