Care to make efforts to BURN the BURNOUT?
Efforts made to identify the symptoms and analyze the root causes of burnout can be meaningful only when we plan and implement methods to avoid or overcome the burnout.
Stress is an undetachable part of our lives. But, it is required to unplug ourselves momentarily and find ways to draw lines where stress turns into burnout. Yes, it’s easier said than done. What really matters is to realize the moment when we are crossing the line of manageable stress and stepping into the flammable zone of burnout.
Care to make efforts to avoid or arrest burnout within and around you?
We have listed a few realistic changes one can take a shot at, to reduce the stress and get away with burnout situations.
1. Take short, frequent breaks to detach and refresh your mind.
2. Stay connected to friends and families, and avoid cynicism.
3. Perform Job analysis. Take up tasks which require your skill/expertise and not all tasks which come your way.
4. Prioritise self-care. Rejuvenate yourself by doing things you would love to.
5. Be vocal enough to say no. Don’t accept to do the unexpected.
6. Seek help from teammates, friends and family, when things go out of control
7. Build positive work culture around you. Be the change you want to see
8. Show Empathy when you come across someone who is a victim of stress or burnout
While the changes cannot happen in one day, they can definitely happen one fine day. Make sure to have a consistent approach to find realistic results.
