Time surprises and calls for it

To step back willingly I admit

Understand what is present

Even beyond the night’s crescent

 

In a corner I sat

Like an abandoned cat

Eyes search for the horizon

Strength I need to carry on

 

Little hurts I don’t mind

Committed to love that is kind

Even hunger I can forego

Sharing lunch I can let go

 

Lonely feet in defeat

Teardrops are in beat

Strong wind blows some rain

Wet body, soul in pain

 

Until your message came

Saying sorry you claim

A dose of care you show

Letting love to endlessly flow
