Instagram's New Ad Hack
Care to comment, creators?
Instagram is rolling out a new feature where creators can add brief, 125-character testimonials to Partnership Ads, giving a personal touch to brand collaborations.
Instead of just tagging a product or sharing a post, influencers now get to offer a quick endorsement, making ads feel more authentic.
This seems like it could be a win-win for influencers and marketers. It's much easier than creating a video, so creators may be more inclined to agree to a partnership. Then brands get a bite-sized, genuine testimonial from a credible voice that your (and their!) audience can trust.
Google's AI Gets Creative
Google is stepping up its paid advertising game with AI that doesn't just generate images but crafts them to fit your brand's vibe.
By inputting your logo, colors, and fonts, Google's AI will now churn out more personalized visuals that look like your in-house design team made them. Plus, it's rolling out tools to tweak images with simple text prompts, making creative updates a breeze.
Ideally, these updates will streamline the ad creation process. I'm not sure how they can guarantee brand consistency with AI-generated assets, but we'll have to give it a try.
YouTube's Finding Its Voice
Here's another social tool that could work great in the right hands and terribly in the wrong ones.
YouTube is testing a feature that lets creators reply to comments with voice notes, aiming to foster more personal interactions. Currently, only a select group of creators can record up to 30-second voice replies via the YouTube app.
Obviously, voice replies humanize online interactions, offering a fresh way to connect with audiences. But brands will have to think carefully. Which ones will you reply to? What's your tone? What will you say? There will likely need to be a strategy in place before their social media intern starts hitting record.
