Latest NDIS Quarterly Report Released

Some key highlights from Q2 - 2023/2034

  • More than 646,000 Australians with disability are receiving supports through the NDIS.?
  • A total of 17,605 participants joined the Scheme during this quarter.
  • 41% of participants aged 15 years and older reported increased participation in community and social activities – a relative increase of 19%.

Summer Foundation Podcast

Accessible Beaches

As the World Adaptive Surf Championships were held in Byron Bay this month, the spotlight is now on the facilities available for people with disabilities. Only 150 of Australia's nearly 12,000 beaches have some form of access for people with a disability.

Public transport accessibility standards update

This is the first major change to public transport accessibility standards by the federal government in 20 years.

Improved signage and accessible timetables are among the measures included.

Leniency is one of our affable and extremely capable support workers. She was drawn to a career in disability support as she enjoys helping others and finds assisting participants very rewarding. Leniency is multilingual - she is fluent in English, Mandarin and Indonesian. She enjoys unwinding from work by watching TV!
