Cardinal Pole Sixth Form have secured another fantastic set of Post-16 Results
“Our Sixth Form has secured another fantastic set of Post-16 results. Such incredible results show the fruits of our Sixth-Formers’ labours. They have shown an immense amount of commitment and perseverance to their studies, and should be extremely proud of themselves. Most of them have been on a seven-year journey with us and we are proud to have seen them develop into bright, ambitious and upstanding young adults,” said Headteacher Designate, Adam Hall.
Executive Headteacher, Jane Heffernan, thanked staff, parents and governors for their “expertise and unwavering support, particularly over the last two years. These results are testament to the high achieving and aspirational community we have built here at Cardinal Pole, an Outstanding sixth form provider.”
Cardinal Pole has secured strong results despite the challenges and there have been some phenomenal individual results, placing Cardinal Pole’s Sixth Form amongst the top post-16 providers nationally for progress, an accolade the school has maintained for six consecutive years.
Standout subject performances continued in a range of subjects including exceptional results from Art with 100% A*B, building on our reputation of excellence in the Arts. Superb performances in English Literature with 75% A*B, Further Maths at 66% A*-B, History and Sociology also both with 63% A*B. With a number of incredible performances in other subjects exceeding 50% A*B, including Maths, Philosophy and Ethics, and Spanish.?
Students studying vocational courses also secured first-class results, with over 80% of all students receiving Distinction or above, and an incredible 90% collecting Distinctions in Health and Social Care, with 50% of students securing a Triple Distinction*, the highest possible grade.
These remarkable results have ensured that the impressive number of students progressing to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities continues. This includes Michael Wagidoso attending Cambridge to study English Literature and Ludwick Wach attending UCL to study Maths and Physics. Other destinations include the University of Birmingham, LSE, the University of Warwick and Kings College to study subjects such as AI and Computer Science, Economics, History and Politics and Child Nursing.?

Nayara said of her results “I’m feeling so happy! I’m going to study English at the University of Southampton. I can’t thank my teachers enough for all the support they have given me, especially Ms William, my amazing Head of Year!”
Head Boy, Jelani added, “Many thanks go to all of my teachers, they’ve all supported me throughout the years. I am so happy to see all of my friends achieving amazing things and I hope to see them and their many successes in the future. I am going to study Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science at the University of Birmingham.”
Head of Year 13, Natasha William, said “I am so proud of our Year 13s for achieving such great results and going off to the Universities, Apprenticeships and Internships of their choice. They have been an absolute asset to our school community and such a delight to teach. I am confident that they will achieve amazing things on their respective journeys.”
