The Carbon Summit: Sustainable System Design Coordination In Action
Well, let's start by wishing you a happy new year, and let's set an intention for making 2021 a year of action! The Carbon Summit is set to kick-off at the College of Idaho on June 16th-17th, 2021. The Carbon Summit focus is around sustainable system design coordination which means we help organizations and people scale and develop their local, regional, and even international ideas and solutions. The Carbon Summit provides a platform for building capacity and resilience by focusing on holistic community development utilizing the Treasure Valley in Southwestern Idaho. The Boise metro is one of the fastest-growing regions in the United States making it a great case study and working model for the implementation of 21st-century innovative solutions. Our goal is to connect with regional stakeholders to provide opportunities and incentives for entrepreneurs, action-takers, and change-agents.
The event features the SEEDS Show around our five guiding pillars: Sustainability, Energy, Education, Diversity, and Safety. An example of a Sustainability solution in the Treasure Valley is the burgeoning paradigm shift that is Regenerative Agriculture. The Carbon Summit's value lies in promoting best-practices and expediting actionable solutions to market. With support from Regenerative Agriculture leaders like Bismarck Rancher, Gabe Brown, and Soil Scientist, Ray Archuleta, who were recently featured in the groundbreaking documentary #KissTheGround on Netflix. This event is designed for catalyzing action: 'Planting SEEDS, growing communities', helping farmers and ranchers turn their operations into high-functioning, diversified (sustainable) enterprises.
Other topics include; Corporate-Community Relations (ESG), Renewable Energy Transition, Cultural Diversity, 21st Century Education, Community Safety & Resilience, Urban Sprawl & Regional Development, Regional Food Supply & Utilization, Intergenerational Engagement, Workforce Development, and Community Empowerment among others!
The event also features the 'Carbon Grand Challenge' which combines a Science Fair and entrepreneur challenge to incentivize and award great ideas, promising ventures, small businesses, and innovative solutions. The CGC winner will not only win the prize money, but they will also get a personalized Branding Consultation for the product/service along with a video and social media campaign from the Boise-based creative agency Art Of Visuals (value $10,000). College and university students, as well as entrepreneurs and small businesses from across Idaho and regionally, will compete for money and services to advance their startups in collaboration with the BSU Venture College.
The goal of the Carbon Summit is to create a regional framework for sustainable system design coordination in a thesis-style format that can be expanded upon through the university systems. The Carbon Summit is the first installment in the Carbon Series with the 2nd event being planned for The Hague, Netherlands for October 2021: Carbon Global Summit expanding on the framework from this event. We have no cost collaboration opportunities for non-profits, educational institutions, and foundations. 3 年Super interesting line up at the Carbon Summit. Wondering if I should register?? Regenerative Agriculture has the biggest opportunity to create a seismic shift in farming, atmospheric drawdown of carbon, and improving the economic performance of communities and nations.

3 年I would love to talk to someone more about this event. My business is based in Idaho and we specialize in insulation derived from regenerative biomass. This event seems up out alley... especially as we launch a manufacturing facility in Southern Idaho.
