Carbon Positive Australia - AGM 2024
Carbon Positive Australia
We use the funds raised through donations to plant native trees to capture carbon and restore nature.
We recently held our Annual General Meeting on February 21st, 2024, followed by a celebration to honour our former chair, Ian Rawlings .
The event took place at the Purpose Studio in the city, and we were joined by a wonderful group of Carbon Positive Australia members, friends, staff, and board members.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all who attended the Carbon Positive Australia AGM and evening celebration to pay tribute to Ian. We would also like to extend a special thank you to the following individuals and organisations:
Keynote speaker: Professor Kingsley Dixon
We were fortunate to receive a special presentation by Professor Kingsley Dixon . Professor Dixon's research programs focus on incorporating communities, industries, and government in conservation and restoration science. His work emphasises seed science, landscape functional analysis, ex-situ conservation, and plant ecology.
His memorable talk is sure to provide us with many stories to share. We are privileged to have him champion our unique ecosystems and use his expertise to restore our landscapes.
Howard Park Wines?
A special thank you to David and the team at Howard Park Wines for providing the wonderful beverages for the evening. Howard Park Wines is a family-owned winery based in Western Australia with a rich history of crafting beautiful wines in the region for over 35 years. In recent years, they have also implemented several sustainability initiatives. You can read more about their partnership with us here.
We would also like to extend a thank you to Gather Foods and Rocky Ridge Brewery.
Thank you again to everyone who attended. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
For the health of the planet,
Louise and the Carbon Positive Australia team. ?
