Ensuring optimal insulation, they opted for Kingspan quad-core insulated panels and incorporated energy-efficient technologies like structural curtain walling, high U-valves, and airtight designs. Their foresight has resulted in dividends today, providing a foundation that streamlines their quest toward net zero.

Installing solar and batteries?

In 2021 EV-Wales collaborated with Morgan & Morgan to enhance their self-sufficiency in power generation. We facilitated the installation of a solar array.? On sunny days, 100% of the power needed to operate their business comes from their own solar-generated energy. Alongside the solar panels, a 60kW battery storage solution was incorporated, providing a sustained power supply and enabling the business to function completely off-grid during the summertime.?

Focusing on waste?

With meticulous waste management and recycling practices, Morgan & Morgan produces merely one wheelie bin of waste per week across their 15,000 square foot business. This exemplary waste management extends to recycling client packaging and utilising collected rainwater harvesting for washing company vehicles.? In the future, Morgan & Morgan plan to integrate this into the water supply to office toilets as well.

Getting staff engaged in sustainability

Morgan & Morgan acknowledges that sustainability is a shared journey. Their employees are actively engaged and empowered, to the extent that they've enlisted a former CEO of EMIA, who currently serves as a lecturer at the University of Westminster, to provide customised training to every staff member.
