Carbon Capture ? the requirement

I see a lot of Companies, Green Teams, Politicians, and Academics talking about Carbon Capture. Very few of them understand the bigger need of sequestration, or recombining it into new materials, either biologically manufactured through plants, or synthetically through processes.

The basic solution most come up with is to pump it back into the ground, a very expensive and rather poor use of energy, and the CO2. This of course was brought to us by the very people that dug this stuff up in the first place, let's just bury it.....

A simple mass analysis basically says if humans want to maintain a pleasant environment for beachside habitation, not trigger some major extinction events and just keep life nice and normal, well, we better suck some of the carbon out of the air. And we should halt digging it up immediately.... We have plenty of Carbon exposed and available now to last us a long time.

The smart money will be investing heavily in carbon capture and recombination into all the things that petrol-carbons make. Plastics, Fuels, Oils, all necessary items, and all can be made from existing exposed carbon sources and existing natural green or synthetic processes. The problem is the multi-trillion dollar investment in our once-thru linear petroleum economy.

We now need to make the same investments in Zero-Waste Circular-Economy models that suck Carbon out of the air and sequester it in products, materials, and usable valuable items. All of these are recyclable and repurposed, I guess this will "cancel" out the once through economies, hopefully for good!
