Capturing 3x3:3 802.11ac Frames
You really have three primary options for capturing 802.11ac 3x3:3 frames at this point: use a MacBook Pro (most expensive if you don't have one already), use the AirMagnet Wi-Fi Analyzer Pro adapters (may be second or first most expensive, depending on whether you already have a laptop with ExpressCard support or not), or use an AP. For lab work, the AP option is probably best for nearly everyone. You can now get a Cisco WAP371 for under $200 and it includes 3x3:3 11ac frame capture. Happy sniffing!

8 年4 options. :) https://linitx.com/product/linkedin/14663 This MikroTik RouterOS based system is capable of capturing and displaying raw 3x3 AC wireless frames on 2.4 and 5 directly to screen or just save to disk all wireless frames in pcap format for later analysis. Me thinks, I might just do a blog about it.

8 年Thank you for sharing this Tom. Matter of fact, even 7signal's eye 2100 model does the same and decodes the frames using its carat analytics engine. Feel free to have a look at: https://7signal.com/products/sapphire-eye/sapphire-eye-2100-data-sheet/
