Capture Opportunities We Have Been Talking
This is Jessie Chuang with Global League - a platform and network for engagement, alignment, knowledge sharing, collaboration, and relationship-building between investors, LPs, and startups recommended by investors. It's pointless if we only talk about opportunities and no ways to capture them. Let's get to real businesses.

How Demo Day Works
Demo Day on Feb. 23, 2024 - WIth Connect X
Smart Grid and Virtual Power Plants are major investment opportunities in the energy transition, our previous panel (Major Challenges in Energy Transition Infrastructure and Opportunities) covered this topic which raised high interest - some quotes: "VPP is closer than most people think", "The timing is now!".
The Feb. 23 Demo Day meeting was a head-on conversation, thanks, to Victor, Zohaib, Jonathan, Patrick, Hrishikesh, Jordan, and other panelists (~20 joined, 30 signed up). To help the company go to our next step - form an investment committee and diligence - give your feedback, or ask questions, in the survey form linked below. (sharing this email with others who might be interested is ok)

Investor Panel on Mar. 1st, 2024 - With Big Idea Ventures
Join our meeting with Big Idea Ventures (BIV) to learn more about the Generation Food Rural Partners Fund (GFRP) launching 20-40 companies to help Agri-Food supply chain industry partners hit their GHG reduction goals in time.?They identify industry challenges and build new companies with matched IPs from universities, their corporate partners offer piloting or testing opportunities to collaborate with startups from an early stage. The GFRP fund invests in decarbonizing the whole Agri-Food value chain, not only in alternative proteins.
We met Tom Mastrobuoni, the Chief Investment Officer at Big Idea Ventures (BIV) last month (Decarbonization and Sustainability of Agri-Food System), there were too many questions and too little time, so we will dive deeper this Friday. Tom had set up the CVC for Tyson Ventures before joining BIV, his track record with Tyson Ventures is MOIC 4.3x / IRR 69%, including Beyond Meat's MOIC of 3.4x / IRR 76%. The team has accumulated impressive experience in venture building/investing. We'll learn about what works and what does not in their venture-building model and Agri-Food innovations with major enterprises.

Our syndication allows smaller checks (> $5000) to participate in the fund, and potential business partnerships with their portfolio companies, and big check writers (> $5M) can invest directly. We won't charge any management fee and carry for the SPV, only the cost of SPV will be shared proportionally. Check out their deck, learn more about the thesis and portfolio, join the GFRP fund evaluation and DD, or just follow up on our updates here.
