Capture the Flag for December

I am working on a new Capture the Flag (#CTF) challenge for December. It will be called Avalanche2 since it is now the second in a series. You can tackle it live on December 3rd at OWASP Newcastle, and at Glasgow Defcon DC44141. One night, two cities, Avalanche2!

It will be available online for people to download and try against a local virtual machine eventually (some time in 2020). I just like to take a CTF on tour before putting it online because live events can be great fun, and I do not get out of the house enough!

If you are bored right now, then the first one is available here.

Folks coming along to try the challenge will need to bring a laptop. Ideally you want that to have a full battery before you start since the events we are partnering with will likely have a limited number of power points.

OWASP Newcastle is a ticketed event so get that here:

Glasgow Defcon is now over at Glasgow Caledonian University Union, requires no tickets, and details are shared via their Twitter over here:

If you are reading this and thinking "but we would love to host a CTF as well". I will take requests for additional dates on the tour from community events, or even corporate training days looking for a few hours entertainment.

Thanks for reading to the end.
