Capture every moment!

In an ideal world, we would have a loving father who’s active and involved in our lives. I am very fortunate to have both parents be involved in my life. As another Father's Day passed by, I think about all the personal time my father game up to be present with my brother and I.

I read more articles about the changing role of the modern day father, then I take a step back and realize that my father has always been a part of shaping my life. Historically, men's identities were heavily tied to their careers, which still holds somewhat true today. I find joy when I see more men taking a more active role in parenting. Truthfully, my father at 91 years strong, has always been there. Those moments are engraved in my brain and the ability to capture every moment as they get older are extremely meaningful. We live in a fast paced world and it can be difficult to change a routine, or feel that we are watched by a company every second, every day! Don't get yourself into that habit or look back and wish you captured more moments.

I sat in a chair with my father on Father's Day and we both just stared for hours. We stared in silence, yet the comfort and joy was better than anything in this world to me. He worked hard to give everything to our family. His love is the most beautiful gift that I will pass down to my girls. His love is unconditional, patient, loving, and full of sacrifices. That’s the kind of love a father wants to give his child.

Remember, capture every moment and cherish as much time with your family. I love you Dad! The love of a father for his children are pure. #girldad
