Captain MICE Future Demo Day
Smart City Event Incubator
Berliner Start-up Incubator für Gründer|innen mit Bezug zur Eventbranche & einem Fokus auf smarte Stadtentwicklung.
The Captain MICE Future Demo Day was a blast, and all of us at the Smart City Event Incubator are thrilled with the wonderful inspiring event! We want to extend a big thank you to all of our guests who attended. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
Our event was held at the Hyperion Hotel am Pragerplatz, organised in partnership with our wonderful program partners the Verband der Veranstaltungsorganisatoren e.V. (VDVO) and with the generous support of our key supporters, H-Hotels.com , ebag - egoodiebag.de and nxt milestone Consulting.
We were proud of the 10 SCEI startups that participated in the event. They presented their innovative ideas across the events industry, inspiring guests with their creativity. From community building and collaboration tools to catering companies that prioritise healthy eating, wellbeing and movement, a new business model for gastronomy, the use of NFT’s to transform the music industry and everything in between, there was a diverse range of startups presenting their solutions.
The evening kicked off with each startup presenting a three-minute pitch, showcasing their innovative ideas and unique perspectives on the future of events and smart cities. After the pitches, the startups had the opportunity to connect with the audience and answer their questions during a round of speed geeking. This allowed the startups to network with potential investors and customers, creating valuable connections that could help propel their businesses forward.
The 10 startups presenting on the evening were Nele Schwarz and Daniel Seunghyun Woo from Groupr GmbH , Mehmet Dadal Ercan and @Ebru from @Cooki, Marcela and Alejandra A. from Karne Kunst, Julia Irena Lyczba and Arian Reitz from @HiLo Berlin, Bernadetta Nycz and Raymon Cesar from SyncNet, Manuela van den Broeck and Francisco from ATOC Soundlab, Gunes Evrim Yilmaz and ?zgür ?amurlu from Sukurusu, Katarzyna from Back to Body, Clara and Alina Shron from We Feast, and @Iza from Simply Affluent.
The energy in the room was electric, and the competition was fierce as the audience cast their votes to choose the winner of the event. We Feast, founded by Clara Gallien and Alina Shron, emerged victorious after the vote. The co-founders use food as a tool for self-discovery, blending tantra, immersive plant-based gastronomy, and artistic collaborations to create a one-of-a-kind event experience and a creative and entertaining pitch that truly wowed the crowd.
Julia from HiLo, a catering company that prioritises healthy eating, came in second place, and Groupr, a community building tool that helps to connect employees both online and offline, like tinder but for group constellations and friends, rounded out the top three.
We Feast received a media package of 5000 euro value from VDVO, and each of the top 3 places received a 500 Euro consulting voucher from NXT Milestone Consulting. The event guests also each received an eGoodieBag with some wonderful goodies from our startups and partners.
Overall, the Captain MICE Future Demo Day was an incredible success, and we at Smart City Event Incubator are immensely proud of all the startups that participated in the event. We can't wait to see where their innovative ideas take them and look forward to supporting them on their journeys as they continue to grow and evolve their businesses!
