CAPS Spotlight - 17 April, 2024
Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS)
A uniquely Asian, independent action-oriented research and advisory organization.
Dear Friends,?
Earlier this month, I moderated a panel discussion on "The Funding Landscape in Hong Kong," organized by the Ford Foundation and hosted by the Centre for Sustainable Development Studies of 香港浸会大学 . The discussion provided valuable insights into best practices and approaches to empower grassroots NGOs in Hong Kong.?
Last week, our Director of Research and Advisory in Greater China, Angel An-Chi Chiang , and I had a fruitful two-day engagement in Taipei with our partner, Fubon Financial Holding Co., Ltd. 富邦金控 . On the first day, we conducted a workshop for senior executives about strategies to effectively leverage CSR, ESG, and sustainability practices. The following day, Fubon Bank and CAPS co-hosted an interactive seminar to present findings from our Tao of Giving report . We would like to thank our partners for their continuous support and active engagement on these important issues.
Last but not least, we're excited to announce the upcoming launch of a landmark report by the Centre for Asian Philanthropy India (CAPI) , one of CAPS' valuable partner organizations, titled 'Mindful Investments: Philanthropy for Mental Health in India' this Friday! This in-depth study underscores the critical funding gaps within India's mental health sector and is based on perspectives from 43 distinguished donors, nonprofit leaders, and mental health experts across 31 organizations.
