Last week was pretty busy. Here is the list of investment and M&A deals made across CEE that we featured at AIN :
Investments
Elcogen, a Tallinn-based clean energy technology company, closed €140 million investment. The fresh round includes more than €24 million in equity investments from Hydrogen One Capital Growth plc, HD Hyundai, and Mirae, as well as grants from the European Commission.
Onego Bio, a Helsinki-based food-biotech company, announced its fresh €36.5 million Series A funding round. The investment was led by the Japanese-Finnish NordicNinja VC, and included equity investments from Tesi and EIT Food, as well as existing investors Agronomics, Maki.vc, Holdix, and Turret.
Polar Night Energy, a Tampere-based renewable energy startup, secured €7.6 million in a seed funding round led by a private investor Jonathan Oppenheimer, and co-led by Stephen Industries, Holdix, and Turret. The funds will be used for growth and accelerating towards power-to-heat-to-power readiness.
Supersimple, a Tallinn-based business intelligence platform built for B2B SaaS companies, received $2.2 million in funding from Tera Ventures, Specialist VC, Tiny VC, and several business angels. The funds will be put toward expanding the client base and improving explainable AI technology.
Genezio, a Romanian developer of serverless platform for building full-stack web and mobile applications, received a $2 million pre-seed investment round led by Gapminder VC. The funding will allow the startup to implement the go-to-market strategy and develop enterprise features.
Flowstep, a Tallinn-based UX copilot that helps users create better designs, received a €1 million grant from Enterprise Estonia. The grant will help to accelerate the development of its AI and Design research efforts.
Swedish biotech startup Ironic Biotech closed a pre-seed funding round of €1M, led by Nordic Foodtech VC. The company will use the funds to develop new ways to help 2 billion people suffering from iron deficiency and anemia.

Syntropic Medical, a Vienna-based spin-out company of the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA), raised early-stage funding of an undisclosed seven-figure amount. The round was led by xista science ventures and AWS.
Krik.bg, a Sofia-based dealer in second-hand auto parts, raised approximately €350,000 in funding from Sofia Angels Ventures and Vitosha Venture Partners Fund I. Krik.bg aims to accelerate its expansion into new international markets.
Eurotrips, a London-based tour operator with Ukrainian roots, raised €260,000 investment round aimed at the development of bus tours in Europe. UK’s travel holding company Day 8 was the lead and only investor in this round.
M&A
Intellias, a Ukrainian software engineering and digital consulting company, acquired 100% of the shares in C2 Solutions, a Bloomington-based tech services company. The deal will strengthen Intellias' offerings in Digital Health and Medical Devices, and accelerate its expansion in the US.
Ukrainian-British HR tech startup JobCannon acquired Adsme, a Ukrainian marketing company. Еhe deal means a full merger of Adsme and the further integrating of its technology into JobCannon’s recruiting AI platform.
