Capital Markets Board (CMB) Supports Venture Capital Investments

The Capital Markets Board (CMB) has amended the "Guidelines on Pension Mutual Funds" in order to enable private pension mutual funds to play a more effective role in financing venture capital investments.

In this context

  • Standard Funds, where the savings of participants, who haven’t chosen a fund at the time of entry into the private pension system, are invested, can invest in Venture Capital Investment Funds (VCIF) within the limitations specified in the Guidelines,
  • In addition, a regulation was made regarding the obligation for Standard Funds to allocate at least 1% of their portfolios to VCIF participation shares.

The CMB's decision is an important step for the development of venture capital investments, providing resources to more entrepreneurs and strengthen the innovative entrepreneurial spirit of our country.

As the largest investor in Türkiye's startup ecosystem through VCIFs, Re-Pie will continue to increase investor access to these startups to ensure their growth and thus, contribute to our country's economy.
