When first enacted The DC Council’s “ anti- police bill” should have sent shudders up and down the spines of every DC citizen as it did mine.
It was a pre-cursor for defunding and demoralizing the police and turning the streets and neighborhoods of our nation’s Capital ?into cauldrons of crime where victimhood regained its original and salient meaning.
Law abiding citizens became victims and the enemies of the people assumed the role of their oppressors. Critical Race Theorists took a victory lap when their plan to replace law and order with ?chaos and mayhem became a reality.?
It seems astounding that so many fools could have been gathered in one place to summon their abundant ?ignorance to pass a law against the safety and security of the citizens they were sworn to protect.
They did it with one fell swoop of the pen and from that moment forward policemen became fair game with targets on their back and ?violent criminals, miscreants, and every law breaker, ?from petty thieves to the “baddest” felons, given the keys to the City and the warrant to wreak ?havoc at their will. “O what fools these mortals be.”
Elected leaders now under extreme pressure to return to the probity we assumed they would exercise from the beginning.
The results of the calculated war on police were as inevitable and predictable as the unleashing of the attack by Greek soldiers on Trojans as they rushed from the wooden horse which had passed through their gates to the huzzahs of the oblivious opposition. We have been no less monumentally stupid.
Another brilliant idea at the time would have been to order a restraint on the collection of garbage, allowing it to accumulate in dumps, on city streets, in the lobbies of public buildings and the hallways ?of apartment buildings.
Before long, rats would have proliferated and the stink of ?rotting foodstuffs would have permeated the atmosphere. As the rats became ascendant defenseless human beings would have been rendered helpless, and required to retreat to sewers for scraps and habitation to survive.?

It is an apt metaphor for the enactment of Police Restraints which handcuffed police and made a mockery of their service. Now that the rats reign supreme the desperate Mayor of the District( Hamelin)is cognizant of the conditions for utter annihilation and calls for the police to resume their natural place in a civilized hierarchy as our guardians ?and enforcers. Indeed, they are our Pied Pipers who when properly supported and appreciated will control the rats and return our cities to us.
Biden, our clueless and feckless President once again abdicated his responsibility and rubber-stamped anarchy.?
It was not a freshly minted position for him. His pandering took flight when the canard of the depraved George Floyd’s death was transfigured into “a vulnerable black man’s killing by a white supremacist cop” and ?Floyd was elevated to secular sainthood.?
It was a time of glee for BLM and Critical Race Theorists as their practiced thugs, deviants and race opportunists were granted a license, to burn, pillage, kill, and destroy, whatever and whomever they chose as their targets: police, first and foremost.
It was then that the “ wind was sowed across the land, including the District of Columbia, where now the reaping has reached fever pitch and conversions to common sense and sanity are reclaiming their rightful places in the inner sanctums of government.
I shall not restrain myself from saying, “ I told you so,” not it a gloating spirit but sadly, and with the earnest hope that our priorities and common interests will be acknowledged and re- instated together. ?Back the Blue and eradicating BLM and CRT is a good beginning.
