We’ve all been there…

We all know the feeling. Regardless of where you’re at in your career, we all started.. well at the start. After years of being at school, or university or just doing your thing, making the step to the world of work is an extremely daunting experience. It’s different, and no matter what you’ve been told or looked up, it’s a whole different ball game with different rules, and guess what – that’s right no one has explained what those rules are. And then there’s the self-doubt… How’s it work? Have I made the right choice? Is this really the right career for me? Maybe I’m not going to be good at it.

So how can we help them. How can we give them the help they need to transition? Well, that’s where business needs to adapt. The opportunities that young people can offer are immense - A new way of thinking, different perspectives, utilising skills learnt in a new era, new perceptions and insights into the way other young people think. But business treats most people with a one size fits all approach that doesn’t take into account their unique insecurities or concerns.

At Youth Group , we’re determined to help 18–30-year old’s make that leap into a new world. We want them to have that moment where they flip that duvet and make that choice that will change their lives.

But we can’t do it without businesses help. We need businesses to work with us to help young people. Many businesses just aren’t geared up to appeal to young people and have systems in place that aren’t designed for give them the start they need.

We’re determined to get that sorted by working with proactive businesses who want to embrace top talent and we’ve been achieving some incredible things already.?Over the last 3 years we've put 105,000 young people into work with 71% lasting longer than 12 months in the same role. We’ve built a community of 1.7 million young people aged 18-30 across the UK, with over 136,000 young people open to work. And all this with ￡0 in UK Government funding

Right now we’re looking for companies to work with us to become “Youth Verified”. What does that mean?

Youth Verified is a verification that showcases a company as a youth employer while providing a report and recommendations on how to be a youth employer of choice. This builds the trust contract between employers and young people. It enables you to attract top young talent with Youth Verified.

We provide recommendations, a detailed report, and a premium profile to showcase your commitment to diversity and inclusion with young people. It will help:

• build your youth brand at scale to a diverse group of youth.
• reach up to 1.7million young people to sign-post to their brand touch-points.
• create real youth attraction, campaigns and youth pipelines.

We’re delighted that we’ve already got some great companies on board. Take Capita for example, we’ve partnered with them on both recruitment and coaching sessions as well as providing them with some great connections that have already led to significant increases in positive recruitment of young people at a company that saw 27,600 new starters alone in 2022. And we’ve just announced they are now Youth Verified too.
