Capgemini ranked Top Tech Apprentice Employer 2017

For the 2nd time in 3 years, Capgemini has been ranked by Rate My Apprenticeship as ‘Top Technology Employer 2017’ as voted by our fantastic apprentices!

We also finished 2nd in the overall Top 70, finishing behind Unilever by the narrowest of margins. This is the 2nd time in 3 years we’ve landed in the Top 5 overall. 

Rate My Apprenticeship is known as “the ‘Trip Advisor’ for School Leavers”. Their aim is to help people across the UK consider ALL future career options. Their site hosts thousands of reviews from companies representing many sectors and school leaver options.

RMA acts as a credible and reassuring information source for students and influencers (parents, teachers, careers advisers) when researching and comparing options. The site’s content performs well from an SEO stance, so it’s great for attracting speculative applicants searching via keywords in search engines. Reviews and rankings are crucial to a non-consumer brand like ours. When less than 2% of under-18s and only 8% of parents know who we are, awards like this helps to sell Capgemini as an employer of choice. The standard university route is our biggest competitor to our flagship apprentice programme, the Degree Apprenticeship

It can be a very difficult decision for those applying to both, so access to forums and reviews allow apprentices themselves to really tell the audience about their experiences anonymously, which really helps us improve our programme delivery. We live in a social media centric world where a large chunk of active users are prospective applicants, so we find our own apprentices are very willing to have their say as they know the value these opinions bring to those people who’s shoes they were once in.

How can I get onto the Degree Apprenticeship?

We have over 80 UK-wide positions on our award winning Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship where you could head into roles such as Software Developer, Technical Applications Consultant and Insight & Data Consultant. We’ll also have Cyber Security opportunities too.

Shortly, we’ll be opening for applications to our Leadership & Management Degree Apprenticeship which align to roles like Business Analyst, Functional Applications Consultant, PMO Analyst and Service Delivery Analyst.
