Phase I of the Cape May Social Services project is getting closer and closer to completion. In this photo you can see the versatility of the R-21 ArmorWall structural insulated sheathing specified by Buell Kratzer Powell Architects. Last to be installed on this portion of the facade are the remaining Fundermax Modulo panels (precut in the plant). Already in place are thin brick using the TABS II system and terra cotta panels. Sub framing is simplified, with just a single 1” hat channel to needed to mount the Modulo panel system. In conventional wall assembly an aluminum rail can become a thermal bridge, but not here: ArmorWall complies with NFPA 285 and ASHREA 90.1. General Contractor is Ogren Construction, facade by EDA Contractors, ArmorWall by William Walter Construction Group, thin brick by American Masonry.
