Please introduce yourself and tell us more about your role at Capco.??

Hi my name is Abbie Burnett and I'm a Senior Consultant and Agile Coach at Capco. My role is focussed on supporting organizations in their modern delivery journey, coaching them through the transformation from waterfall approaches to agile ways of working, with a particular focus on large scale agile environments.?

?What made you apply for?a role within the Ways of Working team at Capco??

I wanted to put my skills and knowledge to the test by applying them to large scale agile projects. Capco gave me that opportunity as well as a welcoming community to support and inspire me. After meeting some of the community in my interview process I was confident that the Ways of Working team was where I would thrive.

What is the most rewarding part of your role???

When a doubtful client becomes an advocate of the new way of working. Not only is this really rewarding for me personally, it also usually marks a point in the transformation where the hard work begins to pay off, we witness the benefits of the agile change and success stories spread though the organisation.?

What is the most interesting project you’ve been involved in???

My current project, which is the agile transformation of the entire Corporate Bank of a Tier 2 Investment Bank. The scale of this project has been the most interesting aspect; it brings all sorts of new challenges which have kept us on our toes.

What development opportunities have you had since joining?

Within the first 3 months of joining I had opportunity to earn my Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification, as well as attending some fantastic internal training.?On top of that, the?culture of continuous sharing of learnings within the team has been invaluable in exposing me to many different experiences.

What do you think are important traits that make someone successful in the Ways of Working team?

?I think it's important to be collaborative team player. Even though we are on different projects we continue to interact as a large team; sharing skills and suggestions.?Also the ability to stay calm and positive when facing new challenges, even when the unexpected comes up!
