First, I want to pay tribute to my Boss Mr Isaac Itopa Ohiani he is an exceptional and gifted human being. In good times and bad, he never lost his capacity to smile and laugh, nor to inspire others with his warmth and kindness. I admired and respected him for his energy and commitment to others, and especially for his devotion to his subordinates.
From him have learnt that Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality and Becoming a leader increases your capacity for love and your level of patience. It opens up another door in a person, a door which you may not even have known was there. That's what I feel with my Boss. There's suddenly another level of love that expands. My Boss is one of my greatest joy, out of everything in my life.
We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.
Life is short and the older you get, the more you feel it. Indeed, the shorter it is. People lose their capacity to walk, run, travel, think, and experience life. I realise how important it is to use the time I have now.
In our daily life, we encounter people who are angry, deceitful, intent only on satisfying their own needs. There is so much anger, distrust, greed, and pettiness that we are losing our capacity to work well together but in all of this we don't even know how strong we are until we are forced to bring that hidden strength forward. In times of tragedy, of chaos, of war, of necessity, people do amazing things. The human capacity for survival and renewal is awesome.
No work or love will flourish out of guilt, fear, or just as no valid plans for the future can be made by those who have no capacity for living now.
