Canton Fair Now Vs Then #throwbackthursday

Canton Fair has been around for many years bringing innovative and creative product ideas that would increase the value of customers' purchases. Bringing us back 7 years ago to 2014, to the 115th Canton Fair.

We were still able to go for offline fairs in large halls where merchandisers, suppliers, and key industry players come together to show what kind of capacity they can provide. The Canton Fair is divided into 3 phases and runs for 3 weeks. The first phase of the Canton Fair is mainly about machinery, building materials, and consumer electronics. For ODM, this phase is interesting in terms of the production materials and machinery for producing promotional products. For consumer electronics, there was a wide range of interesting new products. For example, these interesting-looking bendable book lamps. They have a cool-looking design and are great promotional products for attracting new customers.

However, in 2020, the 128th Canton Fair was held virtually. Canton Fair hosts the fair virtually against the raging global pandemic of coronavirus. It helped greatly by demonstrating China’s actions in safeguarding the smooth international industrial and supply chain towards world economic recovery. 

Many of its activities are done professionally through various platforms and techniques such as Live sales to Virtual Reality. The live streams are specifically tailored to different markets. Additionally, attendees are able to choose from the list of updated live-stream schedules they would prefer to tune in to. All videos streamed were broadcasted in HD quality. Where Virtual Reality (VR) is the use of computer technology to create a simulated environment.
