Cantle armchair by Marco Lavit

Elegant and refined, the Cantle armchair, designed by Marco Lavit for MDF Italia, draws inspiration from the equestrian world. The term chosen by the French designer for the collection refers to the curved element at the back of the saddle, designed to provide a secure and comfortable seat for the rider during riding.

Similarly, the armchair is characterised by its curved backrest, which embraces the body and determines its posture. The rounded shape is also reflected in the padded seat, becoming a distinctive feature of the collection.

The slender steel frame supporting the seat and backrest imparts a sense of visual lightness, defining its silhouette. Meanwhile, the V-shaped brackets, clearly visible on the upper and lower parts of the armchair, shape its aesthetic. Beyond their graphic impact, these elements allow for a reduction in the amount of material used in the backrest, which is empty.

Finally, the choice of both fabric and leather upholstery, combined with hand-finished exposed stitching, gives exclusivity to the entire collection.

Thanks to its modern and minimal design, Cantle armchair seamlessly fits into contemporary residential spaces, such as living rooms and bedrooms.
