Can't Get What You Want? Try Giving What You Need!

When you are a business owner, it is so important to give. Giving creates an atmosphere of abundance. If you want to achieve all of your financial goals, you have to feel abundant in order to attract abundance. Call it “The Secret” or quote the Bible, but “As you give, so shall you reap.” Galatians 6:7-9.
What does it mean to give as a business owner? Many who are reading this may feel time starved with their business or like there’s nothing to give because they’ve put their life savings into the business, but I’m telling you, that poverty mindset of there is not enough (time, money, etc.) is a trap, and you will never get out of it if you do not give.
Giving can be as simple as investing in your employees. This type of giving boomerangs back to you anyway if done well. You can give to local charities, sponsor youth sports or even sign up your entire staff to donate a day to a charitable cause. Imagine the bonding you and your team would do as you organize a toy drive, ring the bell for the Salvation Army or prepare holiday baskets for families in need.
You can never out give God. When you give what you don’t have that only puts you in a position to be abundantly blessed! Furthermore, the act of giving and thinking about someone else’s need, takes your mind off of your own need, and I promise you, your need will be met in a much greater way than you could ever hope for or imagine if you first meet someone else’s need.
December is a magical time of year and not just because of twinkling lights and Christmas carols, but because if we pay attention, we see people giving of themselves in very real ways to those less fortunate. What if your business kept the spirit of Christmas alive throughout the entire year? You may not believe me now, but try it and call me next December. You cannot live with an attitude of gratitude and a spirit of giving and never be on the receiving end. Since the Bible says, “As you give, so shall you reap”,(Galatians 6:7-9) and that “God is a God of immeasurably more than we could we ask for or believe” (Ephesians 3:20), if you’re a giver, you better be ready to receive! From your abundance, you will reap, and I promise you, your cup will runneth over (Psalm 23:5)!
Wishing you and your families the peace of God this holiday season.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays,
Kim
