Can’t Focus? Step Outside!

We've all been there - you're staring at your computer or sitting in a meeting, and no matter what you do, you can't focus. And the worst part is that your day is usually far from over! ?

We’ve all been there. So what do you do?

Get outside and move! New research published last month found that walking in nature resulted in more significant cognitive function and increased ability to complete a difficult task.

But there is a catch. To reap the benefits, you need to give your brain a break. Participants walked by themselves without the distraction of a cell phone.

It's also noteworthy that those who walked in urban environments didn't have the same increase in focus. Meaning that being in nature is vital.

If you work in the city, is there a park near your office? If you work from home, do you have a favorite trail nearby? Replace high rises with trees, and you’re on your way to kickstarting the rest of your day.
