Can't Catch Up? That's Okay.

Can't Catch Up? That's Okay.

Find yourself falling behind? Here's why you're right where you need to be.

Over the years, I’ve watched hundreds of talented professionals put in countless hours hoping to one day be “caught up”.

They start early in the morning racing through the day assuming that with enough effort they can get the “to-do” list completed.

Unfortunately, it never works.?

No matter how many hours they work, there are always more emails, tasks, and returned phone calls that will have to wait until tomorrow.

It’s tempting to assume that there’s a magical time management system that will help ensure everything gets done by 5 pm.?

There isn’t – nor will there ever be.?

The simple truth is that we’ve all got more to do than time to get it completed. This isn’t going to change.

The bell can’t be unrung nor the genie be jammed back in the bottle.

Instead of chasing the elusive goal of getting “caught up”, I’d challenge you to embrace the ideal that you’ll always be a little behind.

This realization gives you the space to ask, "What matters most?"??
