Can't Afford a Super Bowl Ad? You Don't Need One to Reach MILLIONS...

Admittedly, I'm not much of an NFL fan...especially after the Kaepernick debacle.

But I am a fan of good marketing.

This year, corporations spent over 5 million dollars just to get a 30-second spot in front of the estimated 96 million viewers of the Super Bowl.

Let's be real.

Most business owners would love that type of visibility, yet very few have that much of an ad budget.

But what if I told you, you don't have to spend a dime to get your business or your brand in front of millions...and here's proof.

For me, this year, the breakout Super Bowl ad was Michael B. Jordan as Alexa. If you haven't seen it yet, check out the ad below.

Cute isn't it?

(I'm talking about the ad ;-)

Now of course Amazon could afford to run ads during the Super Bowl every day if it wanted to. But what's most brilliant about this spot, is that it's gotten much more bang for its buck outside of the big game, than it ever did within it.

Last I checked this spot has received more than 77 million views on YouTube and has been covered everywhere from Good Morning America and The Today Show, to USA Today, the Washington Post, Business Insider, Good Housekeeping and many more. And that doesn't even count the viral attention it's received on social media...

The lesson here is that you don't need to pay millions to get your business in front of an audience of millions.

You just need to become adept at leveraging the power of media in its various forms, to reach millions of potential customers on a regular basis...for FREE.

Now, most people think that the only gateway to media is through the Rolodex and via a monthly retainer to a PR Agent.

I can tell you from personal experience, that is absolutely positively NOT the case.

Understanding how to pitch the media is a learned skill. And just like you learned how to ride a bike when you were a kid, you can learn how to pitch your business to the media as an adult. You can also learn where to find media contacts. And you can learn how to build relationships with journalists, producers, editors and all those media gatekeepers that are right now standing between your business and the millions of people who need to know that it exists.

So you don't have to have a multi-million dollar ad budget or be Michael B. Jordan to get millions of consumers to want what you have to offer. You just have to know how to show up in the right media spaces with the right message in order to get more leads to your business and more bank to your bottom line.
