Canstruction 2015

Challenge Accepted! To complete a 3D model of an iconic structure and build it within a total of 35 days for competition. After completing the model in 14 days the team made sure to immediately start working on the printing. Concurrently it took 10 days to appropriate the funds from the charitable arm of the organization and we purchased 5000 tuna cans for the build. Once printing was done we started construction and completed our final touches in the little remaining time we had for later execution on Canstruction build day March 19, 2015.

As seen in the photo the project was successful which resulted in the Calgary Canstruction Best Use of Theme award. Definitely an entertaining and rewarding 5 weeks, but regardless of the friendly competition we must remember - it's the food bank that truly benefits!
