The marijuana industry is booming in what some are calling a "green rush." Cannabis was legalized in Canada for medical purposes in 2014 and later for recreational use in late 2018, and the success of companies like Canopy Growth have led to greater acceptance for products containing cannabis within and beyond the country. ? British Columbia Premier John Horgan said he will consider “some relief” for those who can’t afford record high gas prices, which reached almost $1.64 a litre in metro Vancouver Thursday. Analysts say the price hike was caused by several factors; B.C.’s increased carbon tax, a shortage of gas across B.C. and northwestern United States caused by two refineries in Washington state running at reduced rates, and the Trans Mountain pipeline’s incapacity to meet domestic needs. ? Record high gas prices and the debauchery of ICBC makes owning/financing a car in Vancouver incredibly expensive.? More reason to fully fund the proposed Broadway Corridor to UBC.??

Interesting about our most entrepreneurial cities, but a good point that maybe aspiring entrepreneurs can look to smaller communities as their blue oceans for growth.?

Record high gas prices because of carbon tax and reduced processing... In the US? Hmmm. Isn't there a pipeline project we've been talking about for a long time? I consider myself an environmentalist, but we're not going to solve climate change by relying on other countries for the oil we still use. We need to allow ourselves some economic relief, and then funnel that wealth into a solution. We're not going to get there with an over production in Alberta, and an unmet need in BC. Let's play nice together as Canadians, shall we?
