What a year 2024 is shaping up to be already! In this edition of Moon High, I recap a recent celebrity encounter + talk about the Benzinga Market Spotlight event in Los Angeles, where I had the pleasure of speaking on a Fireside Chat with Steve Council .

Celeb Sighting at Champs

Have you heard the exciting news that Seth Rogen, co-founder of Houseplant, collaborated with one of the best rolling papers in the world, OCB, to create Houseplant X OCB papers?! You can read all about it in this Forbes article by Javier Hasse . To celebrate the launch, the companies hosted a meet & greet at Champs tradeshow in Las Vegas. I was lucky enough to be there on behalf of OCB (a Trailblaze client). Seth signed autographs, laughed with fans, and I played IPhone camera gal and took photos of him with all the smiling folks that stopped by the Republic Brands booth. It was a super fun day and I am so happy I got to be there!?

Benzinga Market Spotlight Event Recap

Benzinga hosted their first Market Spotlight event focused on California and it was a huge success! With over 250 attendees, notable media like Alex Halperin of WeedWeek , plenty of smiling faces, and people like Bill Levers of Beard Bros keeping it real on the panels, the event was a grand ol’ time.?

I had the joy of leading a fireside chat with Steve Council of Council Collective , where we discussed personal branding and social media.

Sitting in the front row of my panel was Founder & CEO of Grasslands Agency, Ricardo Baca , who joyfully asked questions at the end of my fireside to help me better plug myself. As Ricardo said afterwards, “sometimes, even a publicist needs a publicist”. Thanks, friend!!!

At the end of the fireside chat, I asked Steve to give the audience one thing he wanted them to takeaway from our chat and he said “just do it. Get started posting. If you don’t ever post, you won’t see results. If you start, you can grow. Just get going!!” Great advice, Steve!
