While serving in the U.S. Army, Cpl. David Medina was wounded in combat, leaving him with life-altering injuries, including hearing loss and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Canine Companions Service Dog Kellen has transformed David’s life by mitigating his PTSD symptoms with tasks like anxiety interruption and creating a buffer in crowds.?Over 550 veterans, children and adults are waiting to be paired with their own service dog – and the list is growing.

We’re looking for more volunteers to donate their time to raise our future heroes.
