The Canine Diaries: An insider's views of No.10 Downing Street (Issue 4)

My apologies for not having done much apart from taking an occasional leak on the floors of the Prime Minister's abode. As a puppy I have sense of entitlement to make a few mistakes. I have improved though and now wait for Dominic Cummings to arrive before giving into the urge to relieve myself. Interesting character he is. From what I know, the man was instrumental in making Boris taking us out of some land mass called the Continent and now he is orchestrating things in my owner's home. He must be an elected official?

The past few months have been tough for me as my magic dog bowl was taken away at DC's request. Boris is very obedient and does as he is told. Shame for such an eloquent man that seems to know a thing or two, to reach the top office in the land and then concede his decision-making capability to someone like DC. Then again DC must realise that if he is playing the role of the shepherd, a snappy rule-abiding sheep dog is exactly the order of the day. So let's work this through. Boris is all those things and more. He barks a bit, snaps at the flock, has an unruly look about him to show he means business and then listens to the whistle. Good boy!

During the hiatus, Boris and his friends managed to get a longer tenancy, which means I get to stay here for some 4 years longer. I will be an older, wiser, whiskier and there will be a lot less crowd-pleasing tail being wagged. There seems to be a grey cloud lingering above the house these days. I am yet to catch the thread, but will do a bit of digging and get back to you.

It's good to be back here sharing the latest from No.10, Downing Street. Yours truly, bowing out for now.
