#CanesBaby Part 1: Don’t You Dare Call Me A Frontrunner
I've been tasked by my wonderful advertising professor, Gary Kayye, with writing a blog twice a week and posting the entries here. It was April 21st, 2009. Carolina Hurricanes winger Jussi Jokinen had just scored off of a deflection, putting the puck past future Hall of Fame goalie Marty Brodeur with 0.2 seconds left in the game. The Canes had beat the Devils 4-3 in the fourth game of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals, sending the RBC Center crowd into an ecstatic frenzy. And yours truly, just a fifth-grader at the time, had just fallen in love with hockey and with the Carolina Hurricanes...
