Candle in a Cup

I have found a new interest in candles. Maybe I will try candle making next as my new muse. The little flame is just calming and interesting to watch as it lights up the surrounding and flicker gently but stay lit no matter how strong the wind blows because it is inside a cup.

The candle is so easy to extinguish on its own, but inside the cup, it will never extinguish no matter how strong the wind blows it as long as the cup remained and protect the candle from the wind.

Only when the cup breaks, the candle will be extinguished.

The candle is us, our life, and everything in it. Every single thing in our life is so fragile and easily gone, disappearing forever. The cup is the Hand of God. Eternally protecting and shielding us from harm. We are safe in His hands.

Sometimes the wind blows and we flicker, these are problems in life. But our life is still lit, not extinguished. Continue to light until all is burnt, then it is time for us to meet Him in Heaven. Until then we are in His hand, safe and sound.

Flickering problems of life will always be with us, but never extinguished us as long as we remain in God's hand. Continue to light your surrounding for all your life, no matter how small, and keep the light on.
