Candidates in the Crowd: Moshe Isaacian

Today's Candidates in the Crowd is Moshe Isaacian

As The?#ShuftanJobReport ?roars with nearly 3,700 subscribers, I am rolling out my second phase to help people. I post the report on M/W/F and want to use T/Th to feature excellent candidates. I built this community as a way of bringing together job searchers and those who are hiring. As an homage to Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd," I rolled out "Candidates in the Crowd." This is a white space for candidates to discuss their previous work, hopes, and dreams and show off anything to the network. The Candidate will capture a hiring manager's attention, and good things will happen. Make sure you are following The Shuftan Job Report for all prior Candidates in the Crowd posts and job postings.

Moshe Isaacian is the first Candidate whom I wanted to feature. Moshe is one of the hardest working job-seekers that I have seen. He constantly is networking for himself and for others, which is near and dear to my heart. That passion will separate him from the pack at his next stop.

I appreciate his story, "20 years ago, I moved to the United States and followed the immigrant path of becoming a doctor. While in medical school I fell in love with electronic music, which led me to start blogging and eventually experimenting on social media making cool ideas with creators. The experience of solving complex problems, leaning into new cultures, and getting creative all led to a crossroads where my love for strategy was born." What a story, hang it in the Louvre!

Moshe brings a wealth of knowledge, a plethora of experience working with some of the biggest brands in the world, and a drive that will motivate his clients and team to be the best.

Please appreciate this outstanding Candidate and bring him to your team to let his strategic mind do beautiful things.

Here is his entry:

Who is Moshe Isaacian?

I’m a culture-obsessed brand strategist and integrated marketer with over 8 years of extensive experience in developing brand, comms, and social campaigns.?

?

20 years ago, I moved to the United States and followed the immigrant path of becoming a doctor. While in medical school I fell in love with electronic music, which led me to start blogging and eventually experimenting on social media making cool ideas with creators. The experience of solving complex problems, leaning into new cultures, and getting creative all led to a crossroads where my love for strategy was born.

?

As an immigrant, I love using my unique background to bring unique perspectives to the work I do. I believe it’s important to see the forest for the trees, which is why I’ve always been curious to learn what motivates people and help move culture forward. So far, I’ve been fortunate to bring these perspectives to work I’ve done with Fortune 500 brands such as Nike, Amazon, Snap inc, Toyota, Microsoft and more.

?

Whether it’s at the forefront of talking to clients and developing campaigns, inspiring teams in writing sharp briefs or cultural insights, to conducting desk research and building audience profiles, I like to contribute where I can to noy only produce great work but also drive growth within the orgs I’m plugged into.

?

My Favorite Project

My favorite project was with Toyota helping them reframe one of their seasonal retail sales events. The challenge was reaching new car buyers during the summer time, a time where having the best summer plans was a higher priority than buying a car. Not only did Toyota have to position itself to stand out during this season of fun, but also be distinct enough against other car manufacturers who had similar themes for their campaigns. As a newcomer to the industry, I also faced my own challenge: adapting to a seasoned strategy and creative team who had been working on these types of campaigns for years.

?

From doing the research, developing the strategy, and briefing in the creative team, I was able to bring a new summer breeze of excitement to the team who felt like they had a better understanding of the changing consumer. As a result, not only did we develop fresh new concepts for the season, but also get the clients excited about this evolved direction that will be used for future seasons to come.

Looking For

I’m looking for brand strategy or brand marketing roles at a senior/manager level and above. What is important for me is to join a team that believes in career growth and making work that is meaningful and penetrates culture.

?

For opportunities, I’m looking for full-time work but I’m also open to freelance/project-based work. I’m based in Los Angeles and ideally wanting to stay local, but am willing to relocate for the right opportunity as well.
