As The #ShuftanJobReport roars with nearly 8,600 subscribers!!!!!!, I am rolling out my second phase to help people. I post the report on M/W/F and want to use T/Th to feature excellent candidates. I built this community as a way of bringing together job searchers and those who are hiring. As an homage to Sports Illustrated's "Faces in the Crowd," I titled "Candidates in the Crowd." This is a white space for candidates to discuss their previous work, hopes, and dreams and show off anything to the network. The Candidate will capture a hiring manager's attention, and good things will happen.

Let's take a moment to appreciate Janna's journey. She began her career in dynamic roles at impressive companies, where she learned the value of versatility and adaptability. Her experiences in smaller companies, where she wore many hats and even helped run operations, paved the way for her transition and discovery of her true passion in Human Resources. This journey is a testament to the belief that exploring different parts of a business can lead to a more passionate and motivated employee.
Janna has demonstrated her value in this transition by doing all the right things; from creating policies and processes, to managing projects, timelines, and resources. What sets her apart is her genuine understanding of the needs of our employees. She is dedicated to keeping them positive, supported, and at the heart of our operations.
Over the last few months, she has been preparing for the PHR exam and becoming certified in Diversity and inclusion. Through all of this, she is ready to begin her journey, mixing her past with her present working across operations, leadership, and HR.
Janna is hungry to begin her adventure across operations, leadership, and HR management. It would be wonderful to apply all she has learned in training and through and leading in prior roles.

Greetings Shuftanians! I am honored to be featured here!
Diving right in, I started out in Marketing and Advertising over 15 years ago, spending my career working with awesome teams in cool companies and creating exciting work. My roles included Editor of an e-newsletter with 5MM subscribers, Account Manager, Marketing Manager, Project Manager and then I moved into Leadership and Operations, holding the titles of Senior Director of PM and Operations, VP of Operations and General Manager. Having spent most of my time in small companies, I became a Jill of All Trades, always wearing many hats. Because of this, I found my way into Human Resources via Operations, and the mix of these is where I love to be.
I have built departments, created processes and policies, managed hundreds of projects, budgets and timelines, brought leaders together, implemented tools, managed company change and led teams. I have always been the creator of company Culture Clubs, planning activities such as Woman’s History Month virtual retreats, Holiday parties, happy hours, trivia nights, tarot card readings, yoga classes and beyond. My greatest passion is always the people and bringing people together, creating lasting relationships with my co-workers, who often turn into friends.
I am a natural leader, skilled at navigating many personalities, needs and goals. I am also a creative problem solver, finding ways to “make it happen”, whatever “it” may be.
Over the last few months, I have been preparing for the PHR exam, becoming certified in Diversity & Inclusion and connecting with job-seekers through personal conversations and my LinkedIn Group “The Job-Lull Uplift Club” (find us!). I want to do well by doing good and give back as much as I can.
My dream next role is some mix of Operations, Leadership, managing HR and Project Management. I am very intrigued by HR PM roles, and People Operations roles. Building upon my established career, blending in some new HR certifications and skills and leading people is where I belong. I am a doer, activator, and visionary with the ability to see both the trees and the forest.
I’ll just say it: You want me on your team because I am smart, likable, reliable, creative, strategic, and efficient.
Outside of work, I am an explorer and a passionate life-enthusiast. I spend time with my people and love to travel. I am one of 8 siblings, an aunt to 7 and a dog-mom.

How much do I need just a feedback to know what I have been doing wrong after applying for hundreds of jobs and a few interviews! I am disappointed, frustrated and I don’t have any idea how to get out of this infinite loop. I just wanna know what I am doing wrong and fix it.
