Cancer Death is Preventable with Precision Early Detection

Defeating cancer begins with early detection. ?Today, the vast majority of cancers are found too late, when treatment options are only minimally effective and costly. ?The earlier a cancer is diagnosed, the greater chance of successful treatment and long-term survival. ?The overall 5 year mortality rate for cancers is 79% when detected late and much lower at 11% when detected early.

At Human Longevity, we use multiple approaches to detect cancer early, knowing that a focus on just one type of prevention tool will only be partially effective. ?Whole Body MRI, whole genome sequencing, liquid blood biopsy and Cologuard are just some of these tools.

As highlighted in our PNAS paper from 2020 (Hou et al.), we identified early-stage high grade tumors in 1.7% of our first ~ 1200 presumed healthy clients. In all cases, these tumors were not previously known and in nearly all cases these cancers were highly actionable found at stage 1, with nearly all of these clients cancer free to date.

Over the years since our clinic founding, we have identified the following early-stage tumors and cancers:

Prostate adenocarcinoma, lung cancer particularly lung adenocarcinoma, pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor, renal cell carcinoma, bladder and ureter cancer (transitional cell carcinoma), brain glioma, pheochromocytoma, mediastinal lymphoma, follicular lymphoma, multiple myeloma, plasmacytoma, colon adenocarcinoma, GI stromal tumors (GIST), uterine adenocarcinoma, papillary thyroid cancer, ovarian tumors, non-silent pituitary adenoma and many more.

Of note, we will also be adding breast cancer detection capabilities including breast MRI and mammography. ?We will send a communication about this in the near future.

Please don’t let your loved ones succumb to a late-stage cancer diagnosis. ?Plain and simple — this does not have to happen in 2024 with all of our latest early detection capabilities.
