We Make Lightning Protection Easy | Wind Turbines & Aircraft
When?New York?quietly ended its?third round of?offshore wind solicitations with no awards, the official reason was GE Vernova 's "material modifications." But Phil says the switch from the?18 MW Haliade-X?to the 15.5MW platform makes sense. If governments and developers don't work out their differences, and soon,?NY electricity consumers?will only pay more. Who will they blame? Speaking of taxpayers, remember those?blade manufacturing jobs?NY was expecting to see? They're not looking so good. After considering how the projects - and the jobs -?might be saved, Philip Totaro , Allen Hall and Joel Saxum look west to discuss?which?company could be developing a secretive project?in Colorado. The state's Economic Development Commission approved?$3.3M million in tax incentives?for?Project Saffron. What's?your?guess regarding the company behind it? You can stop by our booth at? American Clean Power Association (ACP) ?in Minneapolis next week to talk about it. Believe it or not, Phil has agreed to?leave sunny California?to join Allen and Joel (and the good folks from?AC883) in our booth for the show. Want to meet with any of the Weather Guard Lightning Tech or Uptime Podcast crew in Minneapolis??Grab an appointment time here.
While GE Vernova signaled that it's serious about sticking to the smaller
15.5 MW platform, Joel thinks 西门子 might be serious about developing the 21MW platform. Could it be the home run the company needs?
