(Agence Ecofin) - Last week, a delegation from Canada's Rapid Response Project Limited (RRP) was received by Cameroon's Minister of Energy Eloundou Essomba Gaston to discuss investment opportunities in the country. Present at the meeting were Canadian Ambassador Nathalie O'Neil, Director of the Cameroon Petroleum Depot Company (SCDP) and Director of Petroleum at the Ministry of Energy. Chandra Sartar, President and Chief Executive Officer of RRP, has outlined to the Canadian authorities the strategic investments that the company he is heading will make to place Cameroon at the top of the list of countries providing petroleum engineering services in Africa. We know that Canada has a great deal of expertise in this area with the most highly rated firms in North America. In addition to engineering, RRP is distinguished in project management, procurement, construction and commissioning of facilities. At the end of the meeting, O'neil was pleased with the Cameroonian authorities' vision for the sector and added that discussions should continue in the coming months.
