Canadian agri-food trade exceeding last year's pace

Canadian exports of agricultural commodities and food are both on a fast track through the first four months of 2021. That's impressive considering the loonie gained 5.5% against the USD since the beginning of the year and is nearly 20% higher than its 2020 low. This is mostly the result of the strength in global demand at a time when inventories are tight.
