On November 7, the provincial government of New Brunswick announced that the province is planning to launch a?new immigration pilot project: the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot . This immigration stream is a joint project between federal and provincial governments in a quest to attract skilled workers into occupations that are difficult to fill.

Apart from addressing the critical worker shortages, this new stream also promises to offer more flexibility by permitting participating employers to offer settlement services (skills and language training) and guidance to the newcomers coming to the province.

A New Express Entry Draw Has Invited 4750 Candidates to Apply

On November 9, Canada held its tenth all-program?Express Entry draw. In this draw, IRCC invited 4750 applicants with a minimum comprehensive ranking system score of 494. Qualifying candidates were invited from the?Canadian Experience Class (CEC) , Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), and the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).

According to the latest update by IRCC, 26,250 ITAs have been issued across all Express Entry programs since draws resumed on July 6. The majority, 13774 invitations are from the CEC.
