A CANADA VISA THAT WAS APPROVED BUT NOT ISSUED

“You have provided a fraudulent letter of invitation. Explain how this document was obtained and why you submitted it in support of your application.”

I’d like to share an unfortunate incident involving a client’s #Canada #Visa, which was cancelled after initial approval. Here are the details:

Biometrics: October 24, 2024

Visa Approval: November 22, 2024

Passport Submission: December 1, 2024

(Typically, once a visa is approved, it is issued. The process usually involves pasting the #Visa onto the #Passport within the same week or month.)

We expected everything to proceed as usual. However, this time, it did not.

Upon receiving a message from the #VFS Center about passport collection, my client and I went to collect it. However, when he arrived, a woman at the center approached him and started questioning his #application.

Q: Who applied for your #Canada #Visa?

Ans: I applied myself.

Q: Are you going to attend the #exhibition?

Ans: No.

After this, she handed him a document to sign. At the same time, I received a notification on the #IRCC Application portal requesting additional information. The message stated:

“You have provided a fraudulent letter of invitation. Explain how this document was obtained and why you submitted it in support of your application.”

This was shocking because neither my client nor I had submitted any fraudulent or incorrect documents. Despite our surprise and confusion, I have appealed the decision and am awaiting the results.

This experience was unprecedented in my career.

It would not be wrong to say that #Canada #IRCC has started conducting interviews at #VisaApplication Centers instead of having #visaofficers thoroughly review documents before making decisions.

It is deeply disheartening when a #visa is approved only to be later cancelled.
