Can your iPad entirely replace your tiny little notepad?
Yes it can! That will be if you have a 24 hour power supply to maintain the requirements of the device, if you don't get distracted by notifications that pop in every minute, if you can comfortably carry it around with you everywhere you go (like say... the toilet), if you can quickly 'tear a sheet of iPad' and scribble a note to someone, if you can go through the note app on your iPad without opening other apps or if you are not a gamer.
Okay, enough of the sarcasm... an iPad is a great device. In fact every serious professional or business man should try to get one. Its practical usability around the business environment is astonishing. You can do anything from storing contacts to keeping tabs with them, to arranging your meetings, connecting with new clients online, planning your budget, reading magazines and journals, preparing slides, creating documents, sending mails, taking notes etc. (I even use a cash book app on my iPad).
But the mistake most people make is substituting their notepads for iPads. A traditional notepad still has its use in our 'electronic' age. It doesn't run out of battery or require data to access the notes ( like on iCloud). You could hop along the streets with it in the night without fear of being robbed. You could write a thing or two, tear the sheet and pass it across to someone. Anything written on it can be accessed in generations to come. Also there is an air of originality that comes with seeing your ideas written in your handwriting... not some text on a random screen.
The bottom line is, while you use your iPad for your daily activities, have a notepad on which to write... Betterstill, you could get an iPad case like the one pictured above where you can have a notepad to scribble your ideas, plans, drawings, calculations, etc.
