Can You Write Your Headline?

Do you know yourself? Do you know yourself well enough to describe yourself--the essence of who you are? Would you be able to write a headline describing YOU?
Can you identify your strengths? That should be easy enough, right? It's usually something that we enjoy--something that comes naturally.
How about your weaknesses? Do you understand that you have them? I remember back to about 12 years ago talking to a chef about working together to come up with training for home cooks. I told him what my strengths were. I paused and offered up my weaknesses, and then said, "What about you?" He shared proudly...but only his strengths. We never worked together.
Back to our simple exercise:
- Sit for a bit and contemplate your headline.
- Don't ask others--this is something that you should know.
- This headline doesn't address your work skills or training--it speaks to who you are.
- Give it some thought.
- Go for a walk and meditate on it for a while.
- Get a cup of coffee and focus.
There's a wonderful (and mind challenging) website called Six Word Memoirs. The challenge is to write your memoir--the story of you--in exactly 6 words! Got that? And you thought twitter was challenging with its 140 characters only limitation. Visit their site and try some of their challenges...in 6 words.
Go ahead. When you're ready, share your headline of you with the rest of us. No word limit, but your headline should be condensed enough to function as a headline. Here's mine.

9 年Good exercise. Because I do everything quickly, I immediately came up with my headline. Then I read the rest of your post. I will ponder on it awhile. BTW - I'm curious about your name. Is it Greek? Is there a specific meaning?
