PRAYER FOR UKRAINE
On May 27, 2023, a historical event will take place on the Singing Field of Estonia -- "Prayer for Ukraine: Singing Revival."
Thousands of mothers and children from Ukraine, residents of Estonia, and people from all over the world will gather at the Singing Field to sing and pray together for the peace of their countries.
For more than a year, the hostilities of war have been taking place in Ukraine. Civilians are dying, cities are being destroyed. Every day, the people of Ukraine are under enormous pressure and are in pain. Millions of women, mothers with children, and elderly have been forced to leave their homes.

WHY ESTONIA AND WHY SINGING FIELD?
In the history of Estonia, an amazing event occurred. In 1988, around 300,000 Estonians gathered at the Song Festival Grounds or “Singing Field” to sing together. Estonians believe that their singing released positive energy that brought freedom to their country and saved them from death. This event was called the "Singing Revolution." Interestingly, similar phenomena are also described in the Bible: when, in the same way, through singing and prayer, Israel gained miraculous deliverance from danger.
Significantly, in 2023, on May 27, the celebration of the Christian and Jewish Pentecost falls on the same weekend, although they are usually celebrated at different times. Also, it turns out that this day is the Global Day of Preaching the Good News.

FORMAT:
The event will be held in the format of concert-prayer. Musical groups from different countries will take turns performing on stage.

Preceding Prayer for Ukraine - May 25 and 26 - a Leadership Summit will be held. Christian leaders are invited to participate: bishops, pastors, mission leaders, as well as political and public figures, and businessmen from all over the world. The Mayor of Tallinn has been invited to the meeting.
OFFERING:
A special collection of voluntary donations will be held at the event. All funds will be given to the Church of Ukraine for the humanitarian needs of Ukrainians.
